YES!

We have officially accepted the referral for Little W! We are THRILLED! On Saturday we also told Vera that she's going to have a little sister. I wish you could have seen how happy she was! We went to dinner yesterday evening with some friends. She took the pictures we have of W and showed them to our friends. Then, when she sat down to eat, she held them in one hand while eating with the other, and periodically glanced over at the pictures with a big smile. It was so interesting to both of us that as she looked at the picture, she didn't say anything about W's skin color. V said that W doesn't have any hair (it's all been shaved off). She also noticed that W was wearing fake Croc's like Vera's. She had some other comments and questions, but nothing about skin color. It's so interesting to me that kids just accept things as they are. One day we say to Vera, "Oh, by the way, you're going to have a 3 year old sister a few months from now." Vera's response, "Oh, GREAT! We prayed to Jesus for more kids in our family, and HE SAID YES!" I can't imagine how excited she's going to be when she finds out that she's also going to have another little brother! We are still waiting for that match.

A mother who recently visited the care center W is in spent some time evaluating her. This is part of what she said: "W is darling. She is just barely talking, still babbles but walks and runs well. She is pretty independent, feeds herself and goes potty alone like the other kids. She is tiny, wearing 18 m clothes, height 35.2", hcz: 19.5" Shoes size 6 are big. She has a sweet personality and plays pretty well." Little One, we can't wait to get you home!
