Kai was "supposed" to be a June baby. My due date rolled around...a few more days passed...we still waited. Finally at 1:20am on July 1, Kai decided it was time!
Eden picked out this drum for Kai.
Cupcakes!
Birthday wishes from Nana and Poppi.
The other kids listening to Kai's conversation with Nana and Poppi. As you can tell, Kai didn't really have much to say.
Kai's big present was a mattress on the floor. He's been sleeping in a Pack-n-Play for the last 7 months. We knew it was time to move him out of it, but because the boys' room is so small we didn't really know what to do. We had a few ideas, but none of them were good for right now. We finally decided our best option would be a thin mattress on the floor zipped inside of a mosquito net tent. It was cheap and works until the boys are big enough to transition to something else. We know that the boys would play if Kai could get out of bed, so we safety pin the zippers closed. We don't know how Kai feels about the bed, but he's sleeping well and we feel better that he now has a little more space for sleeping.
It's hard to believe that my baby is 2! We love you Kai Kai!
