My Girly-Girl

After a summer in the U.S. and a blog break, maybe I'll try to catch up.  But then again, maybe I won't.  :-)

Vera just walked in a few minutes ago.  "Mommy, can you please pull my hair back?"  It didn't take long to figure out why.
If you don't have pierced ears, find the next best thing -- barrettes!
My girly-girl loves to dance.  She's been dancing around the house since she could walk.  She loves to watch videos of ballets.  When she's home, she has on a dance outfit more frequently than clothes.  About a year ago she started Chinese dance.  The philosophy here is that a child needs to be flexible before they can dance well, so that's where they start.  At first the stretching was tough for Vera, but she soon realized that it was worth it to learn new skills.  She is now one very tough (and flexible) little cookie!

She did this for the very first time yesterday and is extremely proud!

 Notice the change of earrings!

Not too bad for a 5 year old!
