Court Update, Heading to the US, and Adoption Auction

It's been almost two weeks since we got the sad news that we had failed court.  Only 16 more days until the judge hears our case again.  The good news is that our agency just told us this morning that the missing document is now in our file!  We should pass on December 11 without any issues.  There's always the chance that something will go wrong (a power outage, a sick judge, a paper filed wrong, etc.), but it's looking like everything will be okay.  If we pass, we will most likely be traveling late January or early February to bring Littler A and Little W home.  I miss their sweet little smiles.  I miss W's grip around our necks.  I miss her little feet walking up to us whenever we were nearby.  I miss A's poochy little lips and the little snarl he makes every time he sees a camera.  I miss twirling his little tail of hair.  I worry that they will both completely forget us by the time we get back to Ethiopia to bring them home.  We've made some wonderful friends through our agency who are helping take care of us and our sweet children who are waiting.  One mom has prepared care packages for our kids (TWICE!) and has sent them with traveling families for us.  She's printed off pictures both times of us with the kids so that they can keep seeing our faces and be reminded of the four short days we spent together.  She will travel to bring her two kids home at Christmas.  She has already promised to hug and kiss W and A for us.  Other moms have done the same.  When we traveled in September we were able to bless other families with pictures and videos of their kids.  We are so thankful that families will soon be doing the same for us as they travel to Ethiopia to bring their children home. 

We have tickets to head back to the U.S. on December 9.  We will be spending time with friends and family between then and the time we travel to bring the kids home.  We are very thankful that we'll be able to spend Christmas with our families.
