Some Things Never Change

I saw these pictures when I was looking back at Vera's birthday pictures through the years.  They were taken on the night of her 2nd birthday.  She slept like this every night...just inside the door with her dolls face down.

And this is how she's sleeping tonight, over 4 years later.  On the cold, hard floor just inside the door.  Really?  That's comfortable?  When I asked her why she likes to sleep on the floor, her response was, "Because it's cold and hard."  Seriously?!?!
