This picture is of Little W and Littler A's hands. I wish I could post a picture of their beautiful faces! If you want that, then send us an email. We get a group picture once a month of all the older children in their care center. In the most recent picture we got, W had her arm around A and A was touching her hand. So, so sweet!
We are still waiting to hear something about Littler A's medical report. What we know is that his HIV test has been run (at least a couple of weeks ago), but that the complete blood count has not been done yet. The HIV test only requires a small amount of blood, so they had no trouble running that test. The complete blood count, on the other hand, requires more blood, and they have been unable to get a vein that will give them enough blood to run the test. They are taking him back in a week to try again. Poor A, first being dropped off at an orphanage and now being poked and prodded over and over. Please pray that they'll be able to easily find a vein next week that will give them enough blood to run the CBC. Also, please pray that we get he HIV test results back very quickly, because...
We are hoping to travel to meet the kids soon! Our hope is that we leave here on September 19! That's two weeks from today! We are waiting on the HIV test results before we book the tickets, but if they come back within the next week or so, we should be able to travel as planned! Most people adopting from Ethiopia only travel once. Because we do not live in the US, it greatly simplifies and shortens the process of getting the kids on US passports if we are able to travel and see the children prior to completing the adoption. We are very anxious to meet them, learn more about the orphanage they are in, and see the area they come form.
