We have one day left in Mekele. Our flight goes out late tomorrow afternoon. We visited ancient churches (about 1700 years old!) carved in stone today and saw the beautiful countryside. The poverty here is unimaginable. After returning to the city, we had a coffee ceremony at the director's sister's house. Very fun experience. We finally made it to the care center late this afternoon. Tomorrow we will spend the whole day with the kids. Saying goodbye will be difficult. Littler A won't care, but Little W understands what's going on. Please say a prayer especially for her that she will understand that we'll be back for her as soon as we can.

This all has been so amazing to read. I am just so happy for what you have experienced. I will be praying for you both and the children when you have to say good-bye. Thankfully it is only for a short time.
